I don't remember all the particulars, but when I was in school (I'm 66) we were taught that the depression was ended by WWII's war economy. It is sad that things being taught in the past have changed so much.

I understand that. The drought was something they could've repaired sooner. DC didn't believe how bad it was until red dirt from Oklahoma blew over & they saw it for themselves. They learned Kansas had 1good yr 4 crops, then the drought. Grasses wr planted

The evidence is contradictory. The middle class grew during Reagan, but Left leaning sites will tell you it didn't. Also a large growth in black middle class during Reagan. Only beneficiary of the Obama years were the rich.

FDR wasn't the great president that he has been portrayed as he was communist and he believed that big government would be the answer to problems only his policies would have far reaching detrimental consequences that we have been feeling for decades
