Newtonian gravity got replaced by general relativity. And that in turn will get replaced with a theory of quantum gravity, should we be able to find one.

Wrong. Newton showed us how to model gravity but the why eluded him. It took Einstein to explain it. Relativity is the better theory. However, Newton is fine for everyday human experience as we travel so much slower than the speed of light.

There was a guy who questioned Newton’s model of gravity. His name was Einstein. So he developed a couple of testable hypotheses that have never been falsified. Perhaps you’ve heard of special and general relativity? Oh wait, it’s PU. So I doubt it.
