America was based on man having the unalienable right to pursue his own happiness, that the absolute good for man is when man reasons for himself and chooses what’s best for himself, so it is absolutely wrong when others force him otherwise. Such is not a Judeo-Christian value.

While I agree that this is significant in that it promotes freedom of thought, the fact that they believed something doesn't make it true. I'm sure many of the founders also had many other superstitious beliefs that we'd think were stupid today.
