That's awesome. But my concern is that it won't be taught properly. We already have a major problem with Christians rewriting the Bible, even churches misrepresent scripture these days. I hope parents will stay on top of what their children are being taught through that course.

Colleges often have classes about the Bible as a work of literature and/or history. This isn’t new. This can only be a good thing so people can understand the manmade changes it went through over many centuries and stop taking it so literally.

Theology & philosophy should be an elective in public high school. You can choose it as major in college

We had this in my public school, your parents would give you a letter to tell them which denomination you were, if you were. Choice makes it all ok.

Since Liberals are allowing "educational field trips" to mosques, or having instructors come in to teach Islam to elementary school students, there is no legal argument against having it as an elective course.
