Maybe its more complicated....please read this new City Journal article about behavioral poverty (which I believe describes prenatal alcohol exposure). https://www.city-journal.org/behavioral-poverty … Those exposed to alcohol during gestation are by definition, without fault for their crimes (bad brains)

My opposition is religious. I want The Holy Spirit to be able to work on everyone as long as it takes for them to receive Christ. If they never get to that point they’ve at least had the opportunity.

Good point. Although knowledge that they will soon be meeting their Maker may encourage them to search the Scriptures.

I don’t have any problem with murderers being executed, but executing a criminal cost a fortune, with all the appeals a convict do to avoid execution in the end the death penalty is a waste of money. And the arguments for it are more emotional that practical.

And part of the time it’s a CIA plot anyway. And we’re giving the consequences to the wrong person.

I am a conservative not in favor of the death penalty. It is easy for us to say "kill that person!". But, we aren't doing it ourselves. The people who have to carry out the executions as part of their job, are the ones who have to face judgement.
