Father absence is bad for all children. I wanted to end a personally unfulfilling marriage when my son was 5. Even in the 70s statistics said kids raised in single parent homes were at high risk for academic problems, behaviour issues, depression, crime & drugs.

I decided I couldn't subject my son to those odds. I stayed married 30 years. We ultimately divorced when he was 27. It wasn't easy & cost me alot. But when I look at my incredibly bright, successful & compassionate son I wouldn't change a thing.

The US government pays single mothers to shun the fathers. Great way to keep generations on the gov’t plantation.
