Since 2016, the socialists have been out of office in Brazil. Things have gotten continuously worse and worse. They had to imprison Lula Da Silva because every poll showed he would have won. Temer & Bolsonaro's free market policies have wrecked the place. People want socialism

No. I have lived here for over a decade. The economy is stabilising and should return to positive growth once the damage of the previous government is undone. They not only created a deficit, they stole billions through corruption while letting crime spiral out of control.

The crippling of the Brazillian economy was actually a late response to the Great Depression in the USA and EU. Due to credit crunch, investment fled. For the same reason came the 'Arab spring'. Roussef wasn't Pres long enough, and Lula was more conservative than promised.
