0:32 - This is a laughable appeal. Under the Electoral College, the presidential campaign can be won with less than 22% of the vote. By this very metric proposed, the Electoral College is much, much worse than the Popular Vote.

Easy responses: 1.) Popular vote encourages coalition building. EC focuses efforts on swing states. 2.) Popular vote would make more votes matter. Under EC, more votes are wasted. 3.) No, it's easier to steal an election under the EC than under a popular vote.

Wouldn't a 1 for 1 vote better the most diverse it could be (not a popular vote) thats winning more the 50% percent of the country top to bottom, campaigning wherever to get that net total.

These arguments don’t make sense. 1) Current system encourage candidates to appeal to Democrats or Republicans. The plan is to either win all the Blue states and enough of the swing states OR win all of the Red states and enough of the swing states 1/3
-
2) Without the Electoral College, votes really do count equally. With the Electoral College, there is a different proportion of people per electoral vote in each state. In a nationwide close election, there are a lot of states where the election isn’t close. This is obvious.(2/3)
