Exactly. The 2nd amendment was ratified in 1791, it didn't wait for 200 years then suddenly start causing mass shootings in the 1990's. The cause of the problem goes much deeper than that - the education system, nihilism, 15 minutes of fame culture, lack of fatherhood etc

We had a different society back then. Grounded in family and religion and tho we had civil rights issues, we had a rather civil society for the most part. People took responsibility for them selves, their neighbors, and their communities. That makes a big difference from 2day.

As a teenager in the South 40+ yrs. ago, I recall dozens of high school students’ pick-up trucks parked unlocked with a rifle-rack in the rear window. UNLOCKED !!! And NEVER in 5 yrs. of high school was there a rifle theft or a car broken into.

The Left + Media + Hollywood radicalizing Americans. They are to blame.

Canada consumes the same media, the same Hollywood, the same music, etc etc that we do. They are more left than we are. Their culture is very similar, yet they don't have regular mass shootings. Maybe we should trade in our guns for hockey sticks and maple syrup.
