While this video is clearly dated, it does shed some necessary light on two things. One is that on these issues, there are mere trade offs, not “solutions.” The other is the law of unintended consequences - in this particular case, concerning electric cars.

What your not paying attention to is slowly energy production gets cleaner lowering the CO2 ommisions over time. Can’t happen with a internal combustion vehicle. But no one should think they are saving the planet with a Tesla it is a push for a better tomorrow not a better today
