I'm an Australian
. Visited a College football game in US and when the anthem played, I stood, and removed my cap. Out of respect. I would expect other nationalities visiting Australia to do similar if the roles reversed.
(I didn't 'hand on heart', cos it's not my anthem.)

Exactly.. I’ve stood for many anthems when visiting other countries. I may not politically agree with their government, but I do it out of respect of the people and that country as a whole. No country is perfect, but this in one thing that shows unity even just for a few minutes.
