This misunderstands the argument against the death penalty which is fourfold: 1. Moral harm of taking life, particularly in cold blood 2. Death penalty more expensive 3. 1/10 death penalty sentences are overturned on evidence review 4. Govts don't do well with power to take life

If the punishment is to fit the crime, what if the crimes for which we can, in good conscience, not punish?

I am in favor of the death penalty but the conviction must rise well above the reasonable doubt standard for that penalty to be assigned. I would rather a guilty murder rot in prison than risk a wrongly convicted innocent man put to death. Beyond ANY doubt for capital punishment.

An eye for an eye the only difference is you should let the family do it whatever way they want!

I'm significantly conservative but completely against state executions. I've previously tweeted why and won't go into defending the murderer (I don't care about them; I care about US). Just like abortion is Murder, Capital Punishment is Murder! Dennis is wrong on this one!

In Singapore, drug dealing is punishable by death. Guess how many drug dealers flock there to sell drugs? Murderers should understand that in taking life, they forfeit their own. Great in principle but tough regarding the court process.
