And see, that's really interesting because, to me, the myth of The NY Times being the paper of record is at best outdated and at worst, wildly inaccurate. If you look at data, the NY Times is really just O.K.

I’m Canadian and up here we say that we have “one of the best countries in the world”. I’d be nice if ‘most Americans said exactly that rather than saying: “We are the greatest country in the world”. Every country, including the best have their imperfections.

The best does not mean perfect. Most honest people just take that as a given. America haters object based on that disingenuos either or comparison. It's like when I say that I have the best son. No one is perfect so do I really have to add that he's not perfect?

I would argue, America is the greatest country in the recorded history of the world. No other nation has had a more positive impact on the world at anytime through out history.
