The true danger lies in who decides what is "hate" speech and what is acceptable. It's not sharing Grandma's apple pie recipe that needs protection. Consider that the sheep see the shepherd as their protector/liberator while the wolves see that same shepherd as their oppressor.

Exactly, and every crime is a hate-crime at it's root. Feel-good labels get us nowhere and accomplish nothing. PS: I hate seafood.

What makes me nuts is, if people talk through their opinions, the natural result usually happens. This was more than civil. On the contrary, when you see the militants asked the same questions they go crazy, scream, shout and f-bomb hysteria ensues.

All hate speak should be allowed. Choose to be offended or not.

What is "hate" speech? Who will define what is "hate" speech? Or is it just easier to leave all speech "free", and we can decide for ourselves what we want to listen to and don't want to listen to?

Who gets to decide what is hate speech? My answer refer to the 1st Amendment. :)
