"unarmed" is a bit of a red herring in the 1st place. One can be killed or seriously injured by an unarmed person. Deadly force is justified in those instances. Also, deadly force is often justified in circumstances where an unarmed individual is attempting to disarm an officer.

However the press and then the public complains that these poor unarmed victims are shot. That is the point. Not necessarily that they are armed, dangerous, Etc.

In most cases feelings are fueled by inaccurate facts & persuaded by pointing out only the facts that they want. It's not nearly as exciting to see the wonderful things that people do isn't? It's always about the negative!
