If a company cant pay a living wage then the company isnt viable. It's easy to make money by exploiting desperate people who are willing to work at any wage, but it is also immoral and unjust.

Many business I know who have had to pay this increase have said that the take home pay has stayed roughly the same and that extra $ ends up going to the gov in taxes. Employees noticed no increase.
