See, this is what we get from those, like Prager, who sit for days pondering intellectual ideas. Abortion, in and of itself, is a medical procedure not to be assigned a moral standing. The woman having an abortion may be judged as immoral if that is part of one's belief system.

When do we get to start calling contraception abortion?
-
Never. Contraception is a barrier to pregnancy. Abortion is termination of pregnancy.

Your first sentence is correct, your second sentence is incorrect. The morality of abortion is contingent on its circumstances. Also: Making abortion illegal would make America more of a police state than it already is. That would be unbelievably stupid.

ending a pregnancy can very much be the moral thing to do. your "absolutism" philosophy is sophomoric at best.

Let's say you're 15 year old daughter got pregnant. She was afraid to tell you because you're a very strict religuos parent. She has her mind set on getting an abortion so you don't find out. Would you rather have a safe facility in a sterile environment do the procedure or some

black market "doctor" in an unknown unregulated "office" jamming around inside your precious daughter. That's what happens when you make abortions illegal. It doesn't prevent them. It just makes it a little harder and a lot more unsafe to get.
