If you abandon the electoral college then you undermine the terms of the union of states, as this was the condition for the independent states to be included. No electoral college, no United States.

Believing “I don’t want elections decided by people in NY and CA, so I support the electoral college” is so selfish and anti-democracy. How un-American. I can’t imagine feeling so entitled that I’d expect my vote to count more than my countrymen’s.
