And then that church split and that church split and that church split. Father Luther was about one thing-Father Luther. His “salvation by works alone”was a response to his own struggle with mortal sin. “Sin boldly” he said. Pretty convenient.

THIS was very well done. Including talking about ML's negative traits. Without ML (along with the printing press tool), this world is a very different place.

Changing economic systems changes thinking and behavior. As the feudal system was dying out and capitalism grew stronger, this caused the Church to lose its grip on feudalist theology and allowed people to think more freely. This is known as The Materialist Conception Of History.

Very, very loosely described, as in loosely describing Martin Luther as a Japanese geisha girl. Indulgences are substitute penances; rather than, say, making a pilgrimage, one could pay a fee. They have nothing to do with Hell, but with Purgatory, which is almost the opposite.

Paul wrote "Faith alone" but also wrote that it was not a free pass to sinning. Quite the contrary, go and sin no more is quite often written.

Faith alone is necessary for admission to heaven. But don't think for a minute the reward is the same for Hitler as it is for Mother Teresa.

This video leaves out many facts. Indulgences are not related to salvation. Even Luther admitted to Erasmus his primary concern was his own teaching on free will

Luther literally inserted alone - German “allein” in Romans 3:28. This is the type of heresy the Catholic Church protected the Bible against for 1,200 years before Protestantism existed
