The multiverse is just changing goalposts, you'd have to explain why there is a multiverse at all

Considering there actually is a universe believing in a multiverse makes a lot more sense

Yes, there might be a multiverse. Multiple Big Bangs, each generating their own "universe".

The existence of God has larger implications for how one lives their life. The multiverse honestly doesn't care.

Science needs Religion Religion needs Science Both can be right at the same time Science cannot tell if you have a soul. They can't tell you what happens after death. They cannot test what they cannot see or feel or touch but without Science, we'd still think the world was flat.

Also, anesthesia wouldn’t work if we had souls, because souls wouldn’t be able to to go unconscious, therefore we wouldn’t be able to get knocked out or sleep.

Isn't the "multiverse" (errant imo) position simply that the Universe happened by random accident and therefore others in a multiverse could have happened equally accidentally? The "multiverse" possibility is an extension of the theory of the accidental origin of the Universe?

Basically yes.
