If you’re talking about Social Security. Then I’m not with you on this. I was forced to pay into this POS retirement plan for nearly 40 years. It’s not my fault gov squandered it. Corporate welfare and all. In 4 years at 62 I want it back!

Could it have something to do with wages not keeping up with the cost of living much less corporate earnings and CEO pay?

To all the folks commenting here about how much they paid into SS, remember that your employer matched all that, and the government pissed it away too.

If the government wasnt controlled by corporations we wouldn't have this issue.Instead of blaming the government blame the real problem- bloated corporate entities who get tax breaks and grants even though they earn billions. You've been brainwashed to blame the govt. Its obvious

And you keep talking about our children paying for this! No one is paying for this! 23TRILLION dollars! It’s not getting paid back. The best we can do is balance the budget each year and keep it that way. Pay it back... what a joke.

You are right about this. However, I disagree with you on how this matter is resolved. History shows that war tends to even slates. Unfortunately, I believe that a war is ultimately what cleans our government's slate. Sickening and pathetic, but true.
