So, if we discover life on Mars, or the moons of Jupiter, or any other planet, however different, however primitive, more so if advanced, that would mean that the Universe, for all intents and purposes was always there, earth and humans special to our selves, but not unique.

Given the enormous number of galaxies, stars, and planets in just the known universe, what seems to be massive odds are not insurmountable. This line of thinking has been explained away countless times. "God did it" is the reasoning of a closed mind.
