The only true beneficiary of minimum wage laws is the government, which collects more sales tax on the higher prices. Higher prices means higher taxes, and the poor can’t understand why although government demanded they get a raise, they are still broke.

I'm no economist, but if I had to raise my minimum wage to $15/hr., I would HAVE to raise prices. It would be justifiable. I DO; however, pay a "living wage" to entry level employees. If my clientele are happy with paying higher prices for products, then go for it.

You know who gets the biggest raise? Government and insurance companies. Ss, Medicare, unemployment, liability, work comp, are all based on GROSS wages paid.

---In A Nutshell--- Factories shut down. Manufacturing moves offshore. Adults gravitate to jobs teens hold; jobs under which their business model was never designed to support a family. Fast food companies demonized, cast as evil villains.

Yup, I clearly see it in California!!!

Lol the job market is thriving in California, it’s the housing that is so unaffordable that is the problem. Thank the corporations that gentrified the Bay Area, not the minimum wage that helps the poor struggle less

$15 an hour for all of my staff would kill my office. I see quite a few Medicare patients, reimbursement is $17 to $24 a visit. Obamacare insurance pays $0. Sure it saved the Govt money- they don’t pay claims.
