Nothing changed... Border security has always been promised and not provided by either party.

Trump hasn't even managed to put an end to DACA. If America electing 45 can't fix it.... nothing will. We officially don't live in a democracy and the will of the people is almost entirely irrelevant.

They did vote for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which authorized building a fence along about 700 miles of the border between the United States and Mexico. Not a wall.

It's always interesting to hear of the Dems flip flops after they accuse Republicans of the same thing. Is either party going to tell the truth? Are they ever going to really be consistent? Do the 'games' ever stop?

There were no flip-flops. The Secure Fence Act was passed based on a promise from Republican leaders that there would be a DREAM act the following year. Republicans then broke their promise and filibustered the DREAM act.

Maybe because fencing in specific areas is more affordable, practical, & useful than a hideous wall going through people's properties, or on impossible terrain, or interfering w/wildlife & not doing a damn thing to curb illegal immigration. Crazy, huh?
