My former mother in law was born under communism in what is now Lithuania. She told me that her sister worked in a factory run by the government and there was nothing to produce so she spent a lot of time at work simply knitting. Knitting & state propaganda. What a life.

That’s odd. Why do polls in most formerly socialist countries show people saying life was better? All across Eastern Europe people consistently tell pollsters life was better before the fall of USSR.

Until you’ve tasted freedom, you don’t know what it’s like to be stifled. The beauty of America is our Constitution, which guarantees Citizens life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Our Constitution has remained as such for over 200 years. Unlike any other place on earth.
