I went to Harvard and can’t explain or defend “race can only help.” How illogical! Affirmative action is awful and racist.

Using race makes the pie bigger so no one gains at the cost of another. Isn't that how it works?

I dont go to Harvard but i can explain. Asian Americans statistically have higher grades and more academic acheivements than other ethnicities. This means many at harvard are asian american. To increase diversity, they try to accept other races despite possible lower test scores

If you truly want a fair system for college applications, the first thing you need to do is remove the boxes where you check your sex and race. Diversity is great when achieved organically, not through force.https://wemightagree.com/2018/08/09/you-cant-force-diversity-in-universities/ …
