How do you think psychopaths get to be billionaires? By playing fair? I own a company. I run it in a morally sound way. We treat our employees well. We are honest. So we remain a small company. To get big you have to play dirty! Lying and cheating? Sure!

Exactly when you cheat in a game where you have no stakes then it puts a big question mark on your attitude when you really have stakes. On top of it pretending Vishy is ok with this , is arrogance. What was needed was “Yes I cheated, I am sorry”.
