As a female employee, I was always conscious of how many women were on my team. As a female founder, I want to maintain a balanced gender ratio but find the % of female applicants is so low, esp for dev roles. Has anyone found good ways to approach this deep, systemic problem?

Deeply saddenned and shocked by this sudden loss. Pankhuri was so full of life, ideas and passion and had a missionary zeal. We loved having Pankhuri in our Surge family and will miss you so dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family in this very difficult time.

Globally, % of funding $ to female founded startups is still in low single digits.. lots to be done and this is a small start! The #sparkfellowship involves a $100k grant per startup and mentorship from founders and @Sequoia_India team.

Founder to me: “To be successful as a woman, I thought I have to either be single or have no kids. My fear when pregnant was - will people think I’m still as ambitious?” We need to celebrate more women leaders for women to look upto. No reason why women can’t have it all.

As a child of the sixties, I’ve seen every crisis, incl 3 full wars, food shortages, calamities. This is our biggest post-Partition crisis & never has India seen a Govt missing in action like this. No control rooms to call, nobody accountable to reach. It’s a governance rout.
