@LorenRaeDeJ Immigrants in the military is a very bad idea. The "inclusive military" can not fight its way out of a wet paper bag. Bring back the draft now! Americans need to serve their country not foreigners. A disgrace!

During the American Revolution, foreign-born soldiers taught us how to fight. The US Army was literally former by foreigners. Prussian von Steuben grew the infantry branch, Polish Pulaski the cavalry, French Duportail and Polish Kosciuszko the engineers.

18% of the force in WWI were immigrants. Greek George Dilboy and Montenegran James Mestrovitch were among the many immigrants who received the Medal of Honor for their valor in combat. Many were German immigrants, fighting against their own people for their new country

During WWII, 300,000 immigrants served in the US military, with a third of that number being non-citizens. The Japanese-American 442nd Regimental Combat Team became one of the most decorated units in the US Army, even as their family members were incarcerated in the US

I am sick and goddammed tired of the stupid lies and ahistoric tropes being peddled by xenophobes with their fear-mongering agendas that having nothing to do with what is good for this nation Apparently the Know-Nothings of the 1850s never left.

The majority of those drafted in the final two years of the war were immigrants! How preposterous.
