Or just an @HBO or @netflix series following the USS Constitution...pretty sure I could provide the writers of said show in a few minutes, just from Twitter acquaintances alone

Brilliant film, but you don't get the sheer scale of those battles when it's just one ship v another ship!

Why isn't there a long form miniseries about Aubrey/Maturin? Hello, @netflix , this would be primo!

Blame Hornblower for missing both of the battles.

I mean of all the great fictional British military heroes; who was part of Trafalgar? Sodding Sharpe!

Yet we get a remake of Midway. A movie which needed, in no way, a remake.

I don't know, should a 2nd movie about a historical event be considered a remake?

Trafalgar and Waterloo both seem tailor-made for big, sprawling, prestige period-drama treatments...

I'm weird, but I feel like this is a good moment in history for a movie about Lydia Litvak and the night witches. Underappreciated women badasses are having a moment now, it's a great story, and I'd pay to watch someone frag Nazis all week long.
