The editorial does raise a very interesting point. My children make me turn off the radio in the morning, saying all the news is scary.

except radio is (hopefully) journalism. Given internet fake news/rumour, isn't signal boosting trustable sources important?
Of course real news is better than fake news. The editorials point was its relentless focus on things gone wrong was problem.
