2/For years, Mr. Nygard has spread stories accusing his billionaire neighbor, Louis Bacon, of many things: a KKK affiliation, murder, drugs, insider trading. Mr. Bacon says Mr. Nygard put a hit out on him. They’ve spent millions on 25 lawsuits in 5 jurisdictions.
3/Mr. Nygard called the rape allegations “paid for lies” by Mr. Bacon, to ruin his reputation, and drive him from the Bahamas.
4/But we found allegations of rape and sexual harassment against Mr. Nygard stretching back more than 40 years. In the Bahamas, dozens described the system he built to lure young women to his home for dinners and “pamper parties.”
5/ Pamper parties offered a taste of luxury to poor Bahamian women - manicures, massages, horseback rides and booze. Only young slim women with curvy butts that Mr. Nygard called “toilets” were supposed to be admitted, workers told us.
6/Five Bahamian women who were not part of the lawsuit told us Mr. Nygard raped them, mostly at pamper parties. Ten former employees said he proposed sex, touched them inappropriately or raped them.pic.twitter.com/cmbZ5prDXV
7/We also found the fight between the two men had created a cottage industry for opportunists. A lot of money was spread around — some of it going to witnesses and alleged victims of Mr. Nygard. It could undermine the case.
