Many coming to Canada as visitors likewise quite understandably don’t realize Canada doesn’t care if foreign convictions have been “expunged” & dealt with as if they never happened. If you’re asked by CBSA about arrests, charges or convictions, be very careful before saying “no”

We cannot make the rules for other countries. As you said even if people admitted past pot use they could be barred from the US. A pardon fordomestic purposes especially one that will be done free od charge should suffice for domestic purposes?
