Canadians are calling it C-Day. On Wednesday, Canada will legalize recreational cannabis use across the country. I'll be live on Periscope at 3 p.m. ET tomorrow at a pot lounge in Toronto, answering your questions & giving you a look at the festivities. Tweet me your questions.

a claim that's being roundly and rightly mocked on twitter ... and with a Gnews search for "C Day" + cannabis yielding zero results, far as I can see.

I'm writing in to your editor at the NYT about this. You're clearly lying and have been called out about it, yet are doubling down. It doesn't matter if it seems like a harmless lie, if you'd make up something once who knows how many other times you've done it? Unacceptable.

None of us are calling it C-day. First time I’ve ever heard anyone say that in any article/tweet on the subject - Sincerely Canada

I've literally never heard anyone say that. And I've discussed this issue with hundreds of people and read tirelessly about it
