This is immediately what I pictured and am already planning it. I don't know why this isn't more commonplace already. We already have pedal controls for instruments/effects

I always wanted this for the Command, Option, and Alt Keys. I even bought the Kinesis foot pedals. Sadly, USB states that one keyboard can’t modify another.

The Kinesis keyboards ship with a programmable foot pedal that could easily be set to this, but it’s RJ-11 iirc and connects to the keyboard, not the PC.

I’ve tried it a bit and dig it, but haven’t devoted myself enough to build up muscle memory! I’m generally a fan of keyboard-only/mouseless interfaced
