Now we know why they don't allow guns at the NRA convention. There would be too many shooting themselves in in the foot stories.

Article mentions only percentages - not raw numbers. Percentage alone fairly meaningless. Top-line annual number is 17k or 46 per day from a populations of "10s of millions" of gun owners. No data on legal ownership injury percentage. All in all, very poor story.

Raw numbers are nowhere near as predictive as percentages. That's why comparisons between countries based on raw numbers is so misleading as to be meaningless. In the USA there's close to 1 gun for every man, woman and child. But only 1/4 of the population owns them.pic.twitter.com/AxK646UGk8

If Congress allowed more scientific study about gun-related injury in the US, the data would be more accurate.
