We have to stop blaming individuals for falling victim to this disinformation and lies. We have allowed it to become pervasive in a way that can't reasonably be avoided by people who are steeped in that environment. The ethical and moral thing to do is to turn off the firehose.

It is absolutely a slippery slope to be making these kinds of judgments on people's behalf. It's worth arguing where that line is. But people have to be alive to have that argument. That feels like a pretty clear baseline to me.
