Did I hear that right? Did Mayor Pete ask Sharpton what his granddaughter’s name was and he replied “Uhhhh, it’s a funny name”, then proceeded to sit down to talk politics.

I listened to it on MAX volume three times and didn't hear any comment from Pete about RevAl's granddaughter or her name.
I'm also pretty sure that is not something that he'd say to anyone - because he has social graces and because his name is Buttigieg.
