1. Cash vs. Insurance, cash will rarely RARELY be cheaper than insurance. 2. Showing poor people how much something costs for the insurance company, psychologically they will try to save money spending. 3. The poor may stop taking their meds or cut them in half to save.

Many times my patients would end up paying less if they didnt have to use their insurance. As it is now, it is considered insurance fraud if they pay cash.

Why not just forcing the pharma companies to lower the prices on all prescriptions? A lot of the medicines are made in other countries and they pay very low wages and no taxes, why not passing the savings to the patients?
