Maybe @nytimes shouldn’t have dropped it in the middle of the Kavanaugh confirmation circus? Without immediate follow up by law enforcement, and with everyone expecting Republican-controlled Congress to ignore it, no urgency and in fact may even insulate Trump next cycle.

It's all about the media being led by Trump, not the news. The media runs around with their hair on fire shouting at shadows!!

or alternatively no one in the known universe didn't think Trump was evading taxes.
-
This, however, was wild. Valuing a 900$ million fortune at 45$ million and paying taxes on that? Using a shell company to overcharge by 100% for maintenance and repairs and using those stubs to increase rents? Criminal, nefarious and illegal.

People do care! You need to start looking outside of DC.

Isn't this the same type of comments Woodword and Burnstein got when they were chasing down the story about Watergate. We all know how that turned out for Nixon! Keep digging

It appears on a surface reading that all of the actual crimes are past the SOL. It was, then, more of a story about how he lied about being a "self-made" billionaire. 20-40 years ago. No one cares. Find us information that the SDNY and NYAG can charge him with.
-
There is no statute of limitations on civil tax fraud.
-
Civil does not put him in jail.
-
Civil gets up to 75% of the fraud. Civil gets discovery. Civil finds more recent crimes, within the criminal statute of limitations.
-
Fantastic. Make it so.

Especially when there's no there, there!
-
I’m curious why you think there is “no there, there.” Did you read the article? Trump’s entire story about being a self-made billionaire is a lie. That doesn’t bother you? He received over $400M from his father, not a “small” $1M loan.
-
And he's lost millions since becoming President, gives his paycheck to charity every quarter. NYTimes anti-Trump 24/7 so why would I believe anything they report?
-
Bc they back up their reporting with hundreds of documents, including Fred Trump’s old tax returns. You can click on the documents in the article. NYT journalists would land in jail for a long time if they falsified any of this.
-
It's illegal for those documents to even have been taken. There is nothing in them that was done illegally by Trumps family. Just another try at gotcha on part of NYTs. Not interested.
-
NY is currently looking into civil charges, criminal charges are past the statute of limitations. So you don’t care that he repeatedly said he only got $1M when it was $413M? You don’t mind being repeatedly lied to?
-
If you like your "healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan", Bengazi caused by a video, just two of Obama's lies. Trump is doing everything he campaigned on. That's what I care about.
