Swetnick does not accuse Kavanaugh himself of sexually assaulting her, but she said she witnessed him on several occasions “drink excessively and engage in highly inappropriate conduct, including ... fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent” https://politi.co/2QeGQFl pic.twitter.com/T3Rd7SnEk5
Swetnick is being represented by Michael Avenatti, who also represented Stormy Daniels. When asked if Swetnick would step forward publicly on Wednesday for a media interview, Avenatti told POLITICO: “We’re going to wait and see how the day progresses” https://politi.co/2QeGQFl pic.twitter.com/3gyEuryOF5
If @BrettKavanaugh still gets confirmed after hearing this 3rd women then we know the @GOP doesn’t care about women! He’s been accused of Gang Rape! This is why Mother’s worry about their daughters ALWAYS! Men like Brett!
I can’t see him coaching another girl’s basketball team.
Oh lord no! My thought is what would he do if this happened to his girls? It’s HORRIBLE
It is. When @craigmelvin was reading that declaration, my heart dropped and I got upset that he makes the idea of good and decent men, look bad.
I don’t understand why anyone thinks his coaching and professed “LOVE!!!” of young girls is exculpatory. It appears in context to be further evidence of a lifelong obsession with controlling young women and girls and having unsupervised access to their partly uncovered bodies.
Perhaps I am biased because as a teenager, the coaches I knew were child molesters & rapists. One in Jr. High “LOVED” coaching kids, watching us shower & showing us child-porn mags while groping our genitals via mandatory easy-access “jock straps” (briefs & boxers were banned)
Remember Sandusky! What about that Olympic gymnastics creep? Coaching kids sports might mean you are a really nice guy... Or it might mean you are a serial molester seeking unsupervised access to kids partly uncovered bodies.
So... Who're you gonna believe? The guy who stands to lose everything if he tells the truth or the women who stand to lose everything, and maybe get jail time, if they're lying?
Umm he could get jail time for perjury too, jack ass.
A powerful GOPper actually being held accountable? Nah, not gonna happen. Oh, and it's "jackass". One word, not two.
So you aren’t skeptical at all about the lack of evidence and the timing of these accusations?
Skeptical about the timing? No. This is hardball politics; timing is everything. The lack of evidence? Well, I'd say there's sufficient evidence for an investigation. Call me new-fashioned if you want, but I tend to believe the women when it comes to accusations like these.
After all, the women are playing with fire. If they're wrong or making it up, they stand to literally lose everything.
Hey, Republicans. You have the majority in the Senate. You can confirm Kavanaugh anytime you want. The fact that you haven't means some of your own Republican Senators are not willing to vote for him. Don't blame Democrats if you're not willing to stand by your own nominee.
