Democrats never regret anything they do. It’s the American people, true victims of sexual abuse and democracy itself that will end up paying the price for their covetous political opportunism.

Merrick Garland.

That’s complete false equivalency. And while I can understand Democrats being riffed at that, do you have to destroy the entire county because you got gamed politically?
-
I kinda remember some guy named Gorsuch getting confirmed recently. With some Dem votes. Maybe Dems just oppose unfit, lying, rapey nominations for lifetime appointments. I dunno

Pretty much!

This isn't about weaponizing the Judiciary, sir. It's about knowing who the next life-time appointment to SCOTUS should be. And what about Merrick Garland? Was he the first weaponized nominee?

You had me at “Fan of Deadpool”

Nothing to do with the article. It’s a followback thing. And it’s a movie fan thing not TwitterIDCallingSelfDeadpoolOnTwitter - thing. Although totally iconic Deadpool of you to show up.

The judiciary was weaponized by the Federalist Society. Look it up, Politico. You might learn something.

Either Matthew Pritchard knows nothing about judicial history, or he is trying to rewrite it in this piece. Republicans are the ones that have weaponized the courts since the Reagan years. I call it willful ignorance of history.

Several Democrats voted for Neil Gorsuch. They’ve also voted to confirm judges to fill seats McConnell held hostage during the Obama presidency. Blocking an alleged sexual predator from the highest judicial body in the land is not “weaponizing the judiciary.”
