What you're missing is that pretty much all network ratings went down due to livestreaming and the one's who stayed the same or went up are related to football broadcasting and have absolutely nothing to do with the news!

Jim Acosta needs to understand is him shouting at the end of Trump's speech isn't helping. Acosta should be putting pressure on his company and other news organizations to be more impartial. Sticking to fair and balanced journalism is how to combat that perception about the press
Trump claims everything in the press (other than FOX) is a lie. Wouldn’t matter if press said the sky was blue; Trump would call it a lie. That way ANYTHING the press says about him, the investigation, Putin...is a lie. It is what authoritarians do.
