If Hitler were buried in an identifiable place, I would say that the desecration of his grave was an inhuman evil That's the baseline for being a decent person, that we respect the remains of the dead. If you can't do that, you've lost a part of your soul

Every liberal has a story about their racist uncle or grandpa Show your colors A mob comes to dig up your grandpa and tear his long-dead body to pieces for the cause of social justice Do you cheer them on? Or demand respect for the dead?

is respect earned? are there no people whose memories earn negative respect?
-
Respect is not earned the tiniest baby, born premature who dies in her mothers arms within minute of her live, she has done nothing to earn your respect but deserves it anyway

Robert E Lee is buried in Lexington, VA. This is not his grave. This is a meaningless pedestal to a man who, in a time of civic crisis, chose to betray his country.

You do know Lee is not buried there, right? I'd support replacing all the Hitler statues with toilets too but German cancel culture got to them a long time ago.

Every German toilet is presumptively a hitler.

Evil? The confederacy was evil. Slavery and its preservation was evil. Lee might not deserve his grave robbed, but a toilet on his monument might be more appropriate than actually taking it down.
