I don't know about this, but it's definitely cancel culture when Christian's friends make a point of rejecting my pen name under which I publish everything and pointing people to my work name & try to get me firedpic.twitter.com/eqG5GI4Gy4

I'm not shy about my pen name, I point to it all the time The only reason to try to point people to the name attached to my professional technical work is to try to get me firedhttps://spectator.org/covid-19-catastrophe-review-richard-horton/ …

I didn't even know who that guy was, but after one tweet from him I realized he was a mistake to engage.

"Cancel culture has always existed" arguments should only be paid attention to if they're willing to tackle unpopular cancel cultures in the past, like Hollywood blacklists. "Yes, it's always existed. But right now it's out of hand, as we know sometimes happens."

We should all agree: Sometimes we banish people and it seems okay; sometimes it gets out of hand. We have historical evidence of both. The point of disagreement is the present moment, so engage in the present moment and the justness of right now, or gtfo.
