Christopher Tolkien was very quietly one of the most important literary figures on the 20th century. He gave his father's literary legacy new life for almost a half century. I hope they will embrace each other in heaven today. https://www.tolkiensociety.org/2020/01/christopher-tolkien-has-died/ …

I didn't like his attitude in latter years and some of the stuff he wrote about the film adaptations seemed bitter and unfair but that doesn't really change what you said at all. #rip

Well, he was 95. I'm sure one of his children will take up the call to continue the Tolkien legacy.

From “The Silmarillion” to “The Fall of Gondolin,” Christopher is perhaps the person MOST responsible for the growth and depth of his father’s literary legacy. #irreplaceable

Letters from Father Christmas (by JRR Tolkien) to his children is special and very delightful. RIP Christopher Tolkien.
