guys, there are lots of things we end up believing because we read the original lie and then we simply didn't see the follow-up and no one in our political circle is willing to tell us how wrong we are.
One thing I genuinely struggle with is: What should I take seriously in politics? Is it serious if it's published in the NYT or WaPo? Should I limit my "serious" list to things from authors I know aren't crazy? What does "the left" or "the right" really think?
This is on purpose. They need to keep continuing telling the lie in order to make it true.
I know your tendency to charity and respect it. But the idea that WaPo reporter didnt know NYT had to publicly retract a story in their OP ED *against Sarah Palin*...it strains credulity.
None of my many liberal friends ever heard that Kavanaugh’s “perjury” re devil’s triangle, Fffff, boofed, etc. was thoroughly debunked and so still believe it.
