PTSD pharmacist here 🙋🏻♀️ I don’t think I’ll ever improve until I’m out of the environment completely. But how exactly do you get out after 10 years? Can I give back my degree for the amount I still owe?
There is a glut of pharmacists. Many are licensed & looking for positions NOT at the major retail chains due to terrible working conditions.
Anecdotally, many have PTSD-like conditions from working through the pandemic and facing multiple labor cuts

I have spent a lot of time the last two weeks talking to members of Congress and staff about how destructive #PBMs are in hindering Americans in getting medical care & driving up drug costs. This has become a bipartisan issue & we are stepping up solutions to the #PBM problem.

To every media outlet running stories about CVS reducing their operating hours, THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF PHARMACISTS. Full stop. Unsafe script volumes, demand for vaccinations and COVID testing all with minimal support while shouldering all the liability - it’s no longer worth it.
✅force pharmacies to dispense brand over generic & pay below cost
✅be non transparent on rebates but claim savings are going to plan & member
What a healthcare system😤
The next time someone asks you why so little gets done in Washington on health-care costs, whip out this Politico list of top 15 health-care lobbying spenders for 2022
? Do you realize that your algorithms, spreadsheets, research, funding, and "expertise" bring 0% value when Americans are forced to wait in pharmacy "breadlines"? Do your flipping jobs.
for the position as I couldn't think of anyone else better qualified to handle all of the "brand terrorists." CVS needs someone who REALLY understands the issues & will work to fix instead of hide them.
EXCLUSIVE AUDIO of senior CVS Caremark executives disparaging patients as "brand terrorists" who Tweet about poor PBM service accessing medications or score them low on satisfaction surveys.1/
The fact that there are no realistically enforceable standards on the books for consistently ensuring the safety & integrity of mail prescriptions is pretty surprising considering the controls imposed on drugmakers, wholesalers, and retailers
😂Great audio of CVS exec talking about labeling people as "brand terrorist." I bet I know a few that are proudly on their list. Truth be told, I hope these CVS executives have a mirror that they look at themselves in to see themselves as the own worst "brand terrorists."

Now that we’ve got some good footage our plan is to take the next couple months to edit together a longer sizzle reel. We’re excited to be able to show the world our progress!
Who honestly thought this was a good idea? This takes #pizzaisnotworking to a new level. Stickers? Do they think we’re 1st graders? I officially regret going to pharmacy school

Let me paint a picture of #peds#emergency care for you.
Let's say your 3 year old bonks his head on the coffee table right before dinner. Nothing horrible, but needs stitches. You take him to urgent care. They tell you that they can't fix it, and you need to go to the ER.

Today we sounded the alarm about the lack of pharmacists at @Walgreens in #CambMA. Both the River St and 625 Mass Ave pharmacies are now open, but faced intermittent closures in recent days. At 2:30 pm, phone lines + websites for both stores still said the pharmacies were closed.
This isn’t to complain it’s just for awareness because we didn’t realize people didn’t know how much work we put into this project. For example our pharmacist producer-director puts in at least 20-30 hours per week into this project on top of her rph job and family life.
It’s incredible to think about how these massive settlements worth over a billion dollars would never had occurred if not for the public availability of drug pricing data, the tenacious efforts of local journalists, and the accountability brought by elected officials.
A big story I had queued up for the Dispatch can finally run today:
Ohio's $88.3 million settlement last year from health care giant Centene likely will grow much larger due to the company's new $165.6 million agreement with Texas
That's because a clause in Ohio's 2021 deal...

From that job application:
Why are these my options?! I need staff to help patients achieve better health.
Also, why is “appropriate-staffing” being shown as a perk/positive instead of the BARE MINIMUM for a pharmacy?

& not once did they say the word “pharmacist”. Presumably they are checking meds? How did they (we) become so invisible in this system? Price of drugs is not the only factor in building trust.#TwitteRx
A good PBM read… “Dr. Knoer added: “The vertically integrated oligopolies need to be broken up; state laws need to ban spread pricing; DIR fees need to be illegal; and PBMs should be required to be fiduciaries for their clients…”
Thank you @ScottKnoer for your leadership against the Big PBMs and for allowing me to interview you to continue the fight to Expose their horrible practices. https://linkedin.com/pulse/angry-big-pharma-direct-pbm-steve-malen/?trackingId=OTCMqp7EQde%2BEW%2B%2FeRVbOg%3D%3D…
