Can you really afford *not* to save $75k?

No I mean I could buy a fully-loaded Mac Pro for that kind of money.

the equivalent Dell 7920 is around $86,000 but they only let you go up to 2 TB of NVMe SSD, so this includes two SSDs to equal 4 TB. technically the 7920 is a dual socket machine so using one processor not quite apples to apples (dell uses NVIDIA GPUs, no 32GB AMD option)pic.twitter.com/3MYMPahOu2

on the other hand if you want wheels with a Dell, it’s between $49 and $149 depending on whether you get it with a tower server or as a standalone accessory to a rack casepic.twitter.com/j7F6BgyKxj

I see the price but what are the specs?
-
4 NVIDIA GPUs, 2 CPUs, 3TB memory, 12 hard drives. Notably Intel charges $15,000 for each dual high end Xeon chip even though they are slower & less efficient (both single & multi threaded) than an AMD 3970x for $2,000. Not sure Intel can get away with that for much longer...

“As low as $5,289 a month”

-
To be fair, anyone who knows how to max out one of these machines is costing you a lot more than that a month :'l

The efficiency of GE's new heavy-duty gas turbine may save you nearly $1M/year, but MAN that thing's expensive relative to the 60W bulbs I bought recently!pic.twitter.com/DM8PYwpWE8
