Pocket Casts has been removed from the Chinese App store by Apple, at the request of the Cyberspace Administration of China. We believe podcasting is and should remain an open medium, free of government censorship. As such we won't be censoring podcast content at their request.

We understand this means that it's unlikely that our iOS App will be available in China, but feel it's a necessary step to take for any company that values the open distribution model that makes podcasting special.

Once Apple removes an app from a region, we have no way to get updates out to that region. Would be great if we could, but unfortunately we can't.

but platform independent strategy won't be a powerful force as you are trapped in this anarchy of manipulates.
why don't you host it as a platform independent application??
im a developer.....feel free to know what possibility you could outgrow.
Terrible. I guess they figured out you are Australian and are punishing you accordingly. Frankly standing against the CCP is probably more appropriate than BLM in the larger scheme of things...

I'm glad you specifically stated it was removed *by Apple*. There's too much focus on "But China" ignoring that China has no power whatsoever without these companies.
